Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is a malignant epithelial neoplasm in dogs, typically arising in sparsely haired, chronically sun-exposed, or irritated areas. Perineal involvement is uncommon and may be mistaken for inflammatory lesions or other masses in this region. This report describes a 4-year-old intact male Siberian Husky with a recurrent perineal mass unresponsive to Triamcinolone NN. Clinical signs included constipation, anorexia, and tenesmus. The patient underwent clinical examination, hematology, thoracic radiographs, ultrasonography, and finally complete excision with histopathological evaluation. Physical examination revealed a firm, irregular, erythematous perineal lesion. Blood analysis showed microcytic hypochromic anemia with neutrophilia and left shift. Thoracic radiographs showed a bronchial pattern without evidence of pulmonary metastasis. Ultrasonography revealed a heterogeneous mass with cavitation and moderate vascularity. Histopathology demonstrated pleomorphic epithelial cells with large nuclei, prominent nucleoli, frequent mitotic figures, keratin pearls, necrosis, and hemorrhage, confirming SCC. The mass was completely excised, and the dog recovered without postoperative complications, including fecal incontinence. This case emphasizes the importance of histopathological assessment in chronic or treatment-resistant perineal lesions.
