Investigation of resistance profile in some strains isolated from poultry carcasses in Semnan

Abstract

Abstract
The specific nature of poultry nurture, causes to several bacterial diseases and increased application of antibacterial agents, followed by outbreak of antibacterial resistance. the aim of this study is determination of resistance profile in some strains isolated from poultry carcasses in Semnan.
Materials and methods: in this study the profile of 230 samples isolated from poultry septicemic carcasses referred to veterinary laboratories in semnan were investigated by Kirby Bauer method. According to this method each bacterium classified in to resistant, semi sensitive, sensitive and high sensitive group.
Results: the results of this study showed ,more isolates(48.8 %) are sensitive to Fosbac and all isolates are resistance to Ampicilin, Gentamycin and Oxy tetracycline.
Conclusion: Fosbac is a wide spectrum antibiotic based on phosphomycin that inhibits cell wall synthesis. since this antibiotic have applied recently, most of isolates are sensitive. Because of most of resistance factors specially in gram negative bacteria possess with plasmids and it can transferred between bacteria, the profile of resistance is variable in different regions, so its nessecery to be developed a good policy in use of aniibiotics.
