Pathological changes of Endometrium in Infertile Ewes

Abstract

AbstractIn this study, genital system of 13 suffolk infertile ewes were referred to department of veterinary pathology, faculty of veterinary medicine, the university of Tehran .The tissue specimens were checked for macroscopic lesions and fixed in 10% of buffered formalin. In microscopic examination of endometrium, especially apex of cruncles, showed melanosis in 53.84% of cases. Weren’t seen any lesion in ovaries and fallopian tubes. In microscopic examination in 8 cases (61.5%), chronic endometritis with infiltration by lymphocytes and plasmacells was the most important lesion. In 46.1% of cases, periglandular fibrosis was observed that 50% of them were accompanied by endometrial interstitial fibrosis.The most important finding was chronic endometritis which confirms the results of other researches.
