Abstract: Traumatic Pericarditis is caused by ingestion of sharp foreign bodies in cow. This disease causes many economical losses in animal husbandry industry. The aim of the study was to determine some serum electrolytes (Ca2+, K+ and Mg2+) changes rapid and exact diagnosis. During two years, 19 cows that were referred to Shahid Chamran University of Ahwaz Veterinary hospital with traumatic pericarditis were examined for clinical signs and serum levels of Ca2+, K+ and Mg2+. The results were analyzed by T-student test. Results showed that serum electrolytes (Ca 2+, K+ and Mg2+) in affected cattle significantly decreased in compare with control animals.
